The ancient, sprawling ruins of Ur-Sagol were a common starting-place for new and inexperienced adventurers. Partly because, despite being long-since abandoned by the original builders, even the wild nature of Felarya was slow to reclaim the land. But far more important, was the Gate. Seemingly indestructible, magically defended from predators, and able to connect to anywhere in the universe, it was one of the most accessible ways to enter and leave Felarya. The downside, of course, was that the ruins of Ur-Sagol had been picked over countless times – the most valuable treasures and artifacts discovered and carried off long ago. Which is why Gloria was dumbfounded when she came across a massive horde of golden, glittering treasures and gems. Inside a towering building defended by a pair of massive double-doors which rose up over a hundred feet tall, Gloria discovered that the huge doors did not seal perfectly shut. Leaving a gap that a person could slip through. The interior

The Slug-Girl's Neko Safari
Inna Shire was hungry – she had missed breakfast and lunch already – but for the moment she needed to wait. A being often referred to as a 'giantess' by smaller creatures, Inna's specific species was known commonly as a 'slug-girl'. Her upper-half was human-like in appearance, with pretty dark red hair, a slightly rounded face, and a healthy feminine figure with full, rather prominent breasts. Below the waist, her body transitioned into a large, wide slug-foot, hence the common name. She was dressed for warm weather, in a form-fitting dark green tank-top, cut low to accentuate the generous curve of her breasts. The early-evening forest where Inna waited was comfortably warm and verdant, with beautiful, thick foliage and enormous, majestic trees everywhere. Night insects chirping away pleasantly. It was so nice she didn't even mind that the tourists she would be guiding were late. Eventually her patience was rewarded, as she heard a rustling and hushed conversation. Two figures

Reap The Whirlwind part 1
The air was hot and heavy with humidity. Wet, thorny fronds pulled at clothing and hair, while insects buzzed in Naora's ears, trying to distract from the task at hand. Just four others followed in her wake. Wilhelm the elven Battlemage, who probably had more actual combat experience than the rest of them combined. Rachel the 'Water-Witch', her magical firepower second only to Wilhelm. Ellion and Paoclea, human and human-sized harpy, apparently lovers, and probably neither belonged on such a dangerous mission. It was hard to shake the feeling that they were all walking into certain death. Partly because it was nearly true – not quite certain, but enough luck they all made it out alive stretched the imagination. And Naora had plenty of experience with people dying on her watch. But rescuing Nerissa took precedent. In all her life, Naora had not encountered many people she considered truly, unshakably good, but Nerissa was at the top of that very short list. And if some died

Slug-Girl's Sunkissed Snack
Evening in the Bulvon Wood brought with it a symphony of chirping insets and croaking amphibians. The misty, marshy terrain was dotted with tiny pale lights – floating and hovering amidst the reeds and shrubs, each one a miniscule insect capable of generating its own light. Pipril liked evenings a great deal, and this one was no different. Early evening also happened to be an excellent time to check her slime-traps – daytime creatures were most hampered by the dimness as they looked for a place to rest, while the nocturnal ones were only just waking up, and similarly ill-suited to the twilight. A giant slug-girl, Pipril was a somewhat unusual specimen: while her top half was fairly typical – that of a lovely blonde woman, her wide slug-foot was a green & brown affair with an abundance of camouflaging moss and lichens that clung to the thicker skin thereabout. And she rather liked the look of the little plants there. As she slithered through the dim, swampy twilight, she noticed

Loss and Liberation
Every second brought them closer to the monstrous plant-elemental who had kidnapped Chiila's estranged friend, and an innocent dryad. But unlike the rest, Chiila had a deeper connection to that enigmatic entity. She had glimpsed it before, on a different world, in a different life, almost. And the repercussions of the destruction it had wrought had changed the course of her life completely. Her life before Felarya seemed almost like a dream. Yet now those long-ignored memories came flooding back, reminding her of a far different place and time. Of cold, gray skies and icy streets. When she had been small as a human, and lived amongst them. Yearned for a long-lost mother, and feared becoming like her. Sixty years ago . . . The world teetered on the brink of destruction, and unfathomable evils stood upon the precipice of absolute victory. Or so Chiila was told. Two years had passed since the titanic plant-monster had appeared in Eringrad. Killed their Protector, and

Suddenly awake and alert, Naora sat up, heart racing, bleary eyes coming into focus. Atop a wide section of high branches, in a clearing near to a giant dryad. Surrounded by several giant predators.
She had woken several times through the night already, some small rustle or animal call enough to jerk her from sleep, due to the undercurrent of anxiety from having so many predators so close.
It was morning, dappled rays of sunlight streaming through the canopy to highlight the snoring giant harpy Hilde. The dryad Shelny was currently camouflaged and effectively invisible, as expected, her retinue of fairies slumb
